I was born in Bitlis in 1976. I completed my high school education at İzmir Bornova Anadolu High School. I studied medicine at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine between 1995 and 2001. In 2002, I began my residency in gynecology and obstetrics at Istanbul Zeynep Kamil Women’s and Children’s Diseases Training and Research Hospital, becoming a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics in 2006. I completed my mandatory service at Istanbul Kartal Yavuz Selim State Hospital and Tatvan Women’s and Children’s Hospital. In 2010, I passed the senior assistant exam and served as a senior assistant in the education staff at Istanbul Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital for 2 years. Between 2012 and 2020, I worked as an obstetrician and gynecologist in the private sector. In 2020, I passed the subspecialty exam and began my subspecialty in Perinatology (high-risk pregnancy) at Istanbul Çam and Sakura City Hospital. In 2023, as a perinatology subspecialist, I continued to work at the same hospital until 2026, focusing on the monitoring and surgical procedures of high-risk pregnancies. I am married to Dr. Fatma Ersan, who is also an obstetrician and gynecologist, and I am the father of two daughters.
